Harding, Bertie Joseph Samuel MM (Corporal, b.1898 - d.1918); and Harding, Victor John George (Sergeant, b.1896 - d.1983)
Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of brothers: 6079 Corporal Bertie J S Harding, 19 Battalion; and 6172 Sergeant Victor J G Harding, 24 Battalion. Collection consists of three letters written by Victor and one by Bertie to their Aunt Kitty (Catherine Maud Archer). Also included are three envelopes and a black and white photograph of the two brothers (Bertie on the right; Victor on the left). Bertie Harding was awarded the Military Medal for action on 11 August 1918 at Rainecourt. He was killed in action later that month on 31 August 1918.
