Description
Collection relating to reminiscences of the First World War service of 5378 Sergeant Theo Henzell, 3rd Australian Light Trench Mortar Battery, France.
Wallet 1 of 1 consists of correspondence written to Ruth Schmedding, Reference Librarian at the National Library of Australia, and Michael Piggot, Senior Curator at the Australian War Memorial. The correspondence describes Henzell's recollections of both the capture of the Hindenberg Line in 1918, in which he participated, and the shooting down of Manfred Von Richthofen, of which he was an eyewitness.
