Description
Collection relating to Sergeant David Roberts MM, 17th Battalion b: 1897 d: 1918 and Corporal Alex Simpson 2/3rd Pioneer Battalion b:1922.
Collection consists of the diaries of Roberts with daily entries covering January 1915 until August 1918 when Roberts was killed at Amiens, postcards, news clippings, Christmas cards and letters concerning death in action. The material relating to Simpson includes a driving licence, a pocket book and a handwritten reminiscence.
