Farrow, George Martin CBE (Staff Sergeant, b.1896 - d.1969)
Description
Papers of Staff Sergeant George Martin Farrow including a diary, souvenirs, news cuttings and organisational records of the Limbless and Maimed Soldiers Association. Farrow's diary documents his enlistment and training in Australia; the voyage to Egypt; his wounding at Pozieres and evacuation to hospital in England. Other papers in the collection relate to the construction and opening of the Anzac Memorial in Hyde Park, Sydney.
