Collection relating to the Second World War service of NX4621 Lance Corporal Alexander James Llewellyn, 45 Light Aid Detachment, 1941-1943.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Wallet consists of two letters written by Lance Corporal Alexander James Llewellyn. The first letter, dated 30 January 1941, describes his experience of the Battle of Bardia fought in Libya from 3 to 5 January 1941. The second letter, dated 20 June 1943, was written when Llewellyn was prisoner of war at Stalag VIIIB Lamsdorf after being captured in Crete in 1941.
