Large collection of diverse papers relating to the Army career of Major General (Maj Gen) Beavis, from his cadet days, service in the First and Second World Wars and post-war occupations. Includes diaries, letters to and from Maj Gen Beavis, numerous personal files including ones relating to his period as Master General of the Ordnance and his lifelong interest in the shooting down of Baron von Richthofen, and photographs.
