Mikan no shûkaku [Mandarine pickers].
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Melanesia and the Netherlands East Indies with the purpose of the leaflet being to induce nostalgia among Japanese soldiers. The leaflet includes a picture of two Japanese girls picking mandarin oranges and a Japanese poem depicting the scene. An English translation of the Japanese poem on the leaflet and explanatory notes about the picture are provided.
