Description

A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Melanesia and the Netherlands East Indies. One side of the leaflet has a text in Japanese and the other an English translation of the Japanese text. The text is about an imaginary conversation between two Japanese soldiers about the value of learning English. One soldier mentions in the conversation that learning English will take their minds off things such as wounds, disease and poor food. He also complains that their chiefs have made great errors and the war is a waste.
