Description
Typewritten copies of letters relating to the First World War service of 1409 Private David Gibson Alexander, 13th Battalion. The file contains typewritten copies of letters written by David Alexander to his mother between 8 April and 14 July 1915. The letters describe his voyage to Egypt, life in the trenches and artillery action at Gallipoli. The typewritten copies were made in 1927 by Australia House, London, at the request of the Australian War Memorial.
