Letters from James Boe to his Family, 1915-1916
Typewritten copy of letters relating to the First World War service of 1916 Lance Corporal James Boe, 1st Light Trench Mortar Battery. The typewritten copies of letters were written by James Boe to his family in Scotland bewteen 6 June 1915 and 19 June 1916. These letters recount Boe's experiences charging Turkish trenches at Gallipoli, his expectation at transfering to serve in France and the taking of German prisoners whilst at the front.
