Description

Typed extracts of letters relating to the First World War service of 38 Sergeant Albert Victor Bracher, 25th Battalion. The three short typewritten extracts are from letters written at Gallipoli by Albert Bracher to his family in England between 15 September and 1 November 1915. In the extracts, Bracher describes the casualties suffered by the Australians at Gallipoli and his own close encounter with the enemy. The extracts were made by the Australian War Memorial in London in 1927. The location of the originals is unknown.
