Letters from Eric Roland Cotterill to his Mother, 1915
Photostat copies of letters relating to the First World War service of 2nd Lieutenant Eric Roland Cotterill, 13th Battalion. The original letters were written by Eric Cotterill to his Mother in Australia between 11 January and 7 August 1915. Cotterill's letters recount his voyage under escort of the AE2, camp life at Heliopolis, Egypt, and the novelty of sightseeing in Cairo. The photostat copies were made in 1928 by the Australian War Memorial. The location of the originals is unknown.
