Description
Letter relating to the First World War service of 704 Private David Izatt, 2nd Australian General Hospital. The letter was written by Private David Izatt to his parents from the 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station, Lemnos, on 6 January 1916. In the letter, Private Izatt describes the evacuation of the Gallipoli peninsula, his emotions at the time, the generous provision of stores prior and the burning of surplus ordnance.
