Proclamation on the annexation of German possessions in the Pacific, November 1914.
Document relating to the First World War service of 1166 Private Errol Cappie Nepean Devlin, 18th Battalion. The Proclamation, written in Pidgin, was read out to the New Guineans upon their annexation as German territory. This handwritten copy was sent by Private Devlin to his brother, Lance, on 9 November 1914.
