Letters from Oliver Joseph Burke Clarke, 1916-1917
Description
Copies of letters relating to the First World War service of 1208 Private Oliver Joseph Burke Clarke, 7th Light Horse Brigade. The original letters were written by Private Clarke to family members between 9 August 1916 and 27 March 1917. In the letters he comments on Light horse patrols in Egypt and Palestine, the Battle of Romani, and recounts the humourous capture of a Turkish soldier.
