Description
Diary relating to the First World War service of 1586 Private Verner Gladders Knuckey, 8th Light Horse Regiment and 2nd Squadron, Australian Flying Corps. The diary was written by Private Knuckey between 31 October 1917 and 16 December 1917, and records his activities with the 8 Light Horse Regiment and the Australian Flying Corps from between 18 September [1916] and 13 August 1917. Private Knuckey describes patrolling around Romani, the incidents that led up to his decision to join the AFC and his arrival in England.
