Diary relating to the First World War service of 1586 Private Verner Gladders Knuckey, 2nd Squadron, Australian Flying Corps. The diary was kept by Private Knuckey between 3 September 1917 and 22 November 1917. It describes his experiences training in England, sightseeing in Newcastle, his journey to France and the heroism of a number of pilots during the period prior to the Battle of Cambrai.
