Description

This series contains letters written by Major Geoffrey Gordon McCrae, originally of 7th Battalion and later 60th Battalion. These letters cover McCrae's journey to Egypt in 1914, his service at Gallipoli with the 7th Battalion in 1915, and his subsequent transfer to the 60th Battalion and the Western Front in France. Some of the letters have been transcribed from originals by McCrae’s father. This series contains:
