This series contains other material compiled by or relating to Major Geoffrey Gordon McCrae, originally of 7th Battalion and later 60th Battalion. Included are: a certificate of appointment to the Military Forces of Australia awarded to McCrae by Governor General Thomas Denman on his commission as a second lieutenant in 1912; a hand sketch by McCrae of Sari Bair on 25 April 1915, the day of the landings at Gallipoli; an account written by McCrae whilst on service; and biographical details concerning the McCrae family taken from Jose’s Australian Encyclopaedia in 1926.
