Book of poems and particulars (including newspaper clippings) relating to the First World War service of Major Geoffrey Gordon McCrae, 60th Battalion. This collection was compiled by McCrae’s father in remembrance of his son and contains: various poems and other written entries, some written by McCrae's father detailing his son’s life and service, and all pertaining to the war; hand drawn illustrations and drawings; a copy of McCrae's last letter to his family on 19 July 1916; letters of condolence to McCrae’s family; newspaper clippings concerning the battle at Fleurbaix (Fromelles) and those who died; pamphlets and pictures pertaining to the war; several hand drawn maps of the region around Fleurbaix (Fromelles); various papers and communications; and other ephemera from the war.
