Newspaper clippings relating to the First World War service of Major Geoffrey Gordon McCrae, 7th Battalion. This series of newspaper clippings collected by McCrae’s father George covers: a message from High Commissioner Sir George Reid to the Australian troops; the Turkish raid on the Suez Canal in early 1915; a list of casualties of the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, including McCrae; the battle of Fleurbaix (Fromelles) and some of those killed at the battle.
