Diary relating to the First World War service of 25 Private Thomas James Richards, 1st Australian Field Ambulance. The entries in this diary span the period 19 November 1914 to 2 January 1915 and cover his arrival in Egypt in early December and the establishment of the 1st Australian Field Ambulance at Mena. This diary was originally bound by Richards into the first of four volumes and donated to the Australian War Memorial in 1933.
