Diary relating to the First World War service of 25 Lance Corporal Thomas James Richards, 1st Australian Field Ambulance (AFA). The entries in this diary span the period 2 April to 8 June 1916 and cover the arrival of the 1st AFA in France, its move to Strazeele and Le Noveau Monde in northern France, and the arrival of its first wounded from the Western Front. This diary was originally bound by Richards into the third of four volumes and donated to the Australian War Memorial in 1933.
