Description

Diary relating to the First World War service of 25 Lance Corporal Thomas James Richards, 1st Australian Field Ambulance (AFA). The entries in this diary span the period 10 August to 14 September 1916 and cover the movement of the 1st AFA to Becourt, still in the area of Albert. The 1st Division were still involved in the nearby fighting to take Mouquet Farm, something which Richards comments on. This diary was originally bound by Richards into the third of four volumes and donated to the Australian War Memorial in 1933.
