Diary relating to the First World War service of 25 Lance Corporal Thomas James Richards, 1st Australian Field Ambulance (AFA). The entries in this diary span the period 15 September to 11 October 1916 and cover the movement of the 1st AFA north into Belgium, the 1st Division having been sent for a rest in the Ypres sector. This diary was originally bound by Richards into the third of four volumes and donated to the Australian War Memorial in 1933.
