Typescript copies of letters from Hector Roy McLarty, 18 May 1915 to 14 August 1915

Typewritten copies of extracts of letters relating to the First World War service of Hector Roy McLarty, 8th Field Artillery Brigade. The typewritten letters were written between 18 May 1915 and 14 August 1915. In these letters McLarty discusses the landing at Gallipoli, the conditions of life in the trenches, shelling, deaths of men from home, lack of bathing, and his brother Keith. Also included are translations of two letters found on a Turkish soldier at Gallipoli.
