Small button badge with pin fastening. The badge has a photographic portrait of Private C J Crook in peaked cap and uniform.
History / Summary
Photograph of 4562 Private Cecil James Crook, a miner from Adamstown, New South Wales. Crook enlisted on 10 November 1915 and served with 19 Battalion. He died of wounds on 4 October 1918 and is buried in Tincourt New British Cemetery, France. Two of Crook's brothers, 45 Pte Daniel Crook of 35 Battalion and 58681 Pte Albert Thomas of 5 Division Training, also served in the AIF and returned to Australia in 1919.
