Description
Printed white silk scarf with a blue border. The white inner section is covered with representations of the national flags of various countries, 104 in total. There are four larger flags centred in the middle, these are labelled as follows; 'ROYAL STANDARD OF ENGLAND', 'FRENCH NATIONAL', 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' and 'RUSSIAN ROYAL STANDARD'.
History / Summary
This souvenir was collected by 19802 Gunner Thomas Curbishley of 8 Field Artillery Brigade, AIF. Curbishley enlisted on 13 August 1915 and served on the Western Front. He embarked for return to Australia on 11 May 1919.
