Zdr 2 Time and Percussion Mortar Fuze
Description
German Zdr 2 time and percussion fuze used in high explosive shells for the 7.6 cm light trench mortars during the First World War. This fuze is of the improved pattern used during the later stages of the First World War. The fuze is made from mild steel and has aluminium timing rings with second graduations marked on them. The fuze cover and the steel gain are missing. The colour of the fuze is dark grey and the fuze rings are left in natural aluminium.

This fuze was found near Bullecourt, Arras in 1917 by Major E V Smythe.
