Rising Sun sweetheart badge : Private W R Furze, 18 Battalion, AIF
Description
Brass rising sun badge with pin back fastener. The semi-circular space between the crown and the rising sun has been painted with dark purple and green to represent the colours of 18 Battalion.
History / Summary
Associated with the service of 4427 Private Walter Richard Furze who enlisted with 18 Battalion on 15 November 1915. He was wounded in action and embarked for return to Australia on 25 August 1917.
