Description
Mauser Model G98 Sniper Rifle. Bolt action receiver has German proof marks, Gew 98, 1917 and the serial number. The manufacturers name is unaccessable under the front telescope mount. This rifle is fitted with a 4X telescopic sight made by C.P.Goertz Berlin, serial number 99 (18869 underside) and has a leather eye pad. The rifle has a brown leather sling and a fore sight cover accessioned as REL/00582.004.
