German Signal Pistol
Description
German all brass construction signal pistol. Hinged break open frame with a double side bar release and a half octagonal barrel that has a flared muzzle. The two piece grips are plain wood and both chipped. The butt is stamped 'S1 B2' and the back strap has '99.R.8.2'.
History / Summary
The markings on this pistol are believed to indicate that it was originally issued to the 99th German Infantry Regiment, 8th Battalion, Pistol number 2.
