Description

Hampshire speaks of his RAAF flying experience from enlistment to 1942; operational experience as a bomber pilot with No 6 (Bomber) Squadron RAAF on Lockheed Hudsons with 43rd Operational Group USAAF and as Commanding Officer No 24 (Bomber) Squadron RAAF both on B24 Liberators from 1943 to 1945; raids on Japanese targets including Kavieng, Wewak and Hollandia.
