Description
Tape 1: Taking first command as commanding officer of 2/10 Battalion; officers and NCO's serving under Tom Daly; training of battalion; Balikpapan campaign. Tape 2: Landing on Balikpapan; ensuing battle; consolidation overnight; next day's advance; relief of Indian prisoners held by Japanese; capture of Japanese headquarters; end of war; mopping up activities; battalion disbanded; posted to British Commonwealth Occupational Forces in Japan.
