Description

Gillman reports on a visit by the first Australian Army nurses to serve in South Vietnam, Captain Amy Margaret Pittendreigh, Lieutenant Margaret Fay Ahern, Lieutenant Terrie Elizabeth Roche and Lieutenant Colleen Ann Mealy all of 8th Field Ambulance Vung Tau, to 1st Australian Task Force base, Nui Dat and to the village of Hoa Long where, as a result of civic action initiatives, a dispensary, a hospital and other community buildings have been constructed.
