David Druitt Nathan as a captain 5th Corps Signals (Burma), South East Asia, 1941-1945 [radio broadcast]
Description
David Nathan reports on the health of the men who were prisoners working on the Burma -Thai Railway. He praises the locals who have helped the prisoners, and in particular, a Chinese merchant who provided the POWs with money and medicines. However Nathan will not risk identifying the merchant by name in case he is captured and executed.
