The Right Honourable John Curtin, Prime Minister of Australia (second from right), talks with aircrew during his visit to 467 (Lancaster) Squadron RAAF based at RAF Station Waddington in Lincolnshire. The crew was about to take-off for a raid on the Marshalling Yards at Tours. Identified, from left to right: 418515 Fl Lt Harry James Cole Bentley (later DFC), RAAF, mid upper gunner; 416931 Flying Officer (FO) C L Chalk RAAF, wireless operator of Keith, SA; 626891 Sgt T McFarlane RAF, rear gunner of Dundee Scotland; Fl Sgt 'Snowy' Craven (possibly RAF), bomb aimer; the Right Honorable John Curtin; 420771 FO William Mackay (later DFC), RAAF, pilot, of Newcastle, NSW.
