London, England. C. 1944-06-01. Portrait of Squadron Leader C. C. Scherr DSO DFC and Bar, RAAF, of Glen Innes, NSW, crack pilot of a Canadian (City of Edmonton) Mosquito Squadron, who has fourteen "kills" to his credit, as well as many aircraft destroyed on the ground. Scherf specialised in long distance work with Mosquito aircraft, and was a pioneer in this work.
