Lancaster bomber aircraft of RAF Bomber Command, including three RAAF squadrons, taking part in Operation Manna, have dropped thousands of pounds of food supplies in occupied Holland for the starving Dutch people. This is the total load of one Lancaster, and in the foreground are the contents of a typical sack: dried eggs, milk powder, cheese, dried yeast, chocolate, margarine, dehydrated meat, mustard, salt, luncheon meat, tea, beans.
