Description
The Chairman of the British Red Cross Society, Lady Mountbatten (wife of the British First Sea Lord, Earl Mountbatten), had a cheering word for 24494 Sergeant (Sgt) Ronald William Scott, of Annandale, NSW, 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), when she visited the 1st Commonwealth Division in Korea. Sgt Scott was in hospital for treatment of a minor complaint, had a picture of his family autogra[hed by Lady Mountbatten after she admired it. Lord and Lady Mountbatten are due to visit Australia within the next few weeks.
