Description
Chairman of the Free World Military Assistance Organisation, Lieutenant General Tran Ngoc Tam, greets visiting Defence Minister, Malcolm Fraser, at Tan Son Nhut airport. Behind them is the Commander of the Australian Force Vietnam (COMAFV), Major General C. A. E. Fraser, and the Chairman of the Australian Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sir John Wilton (left, shaking hands), with the Australian Ambassador to South Vietnam, Ralph L. Harry. During the Minister's four-day visit to the country he will meet President Thieu and American Ambassador, Ellsworth Bunker. From South Vietnam he then flies to the US for talks with Defence Secretary, Melvin Laird, and other officials.
