Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam. May 1970. Checking the defences of Fire Support Base Barbara in the mountains bordering the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) is Australian Army Training Team Vietnam (AATTV) adviser Warrant Officer Class 2 (WO2) Don Watts of Sandgate, Qld (right). WO2 Watts, a member of the Signals Corps, works with the 1st Battalion, 3rd Regiment, 1st Vietnamese Division. With him is the battalion senior adviser Captain Ed Callaghan of New York City, and the regiment's commander, Lieutenant Colonel Hanh.
