Ben Tranh District, South Vietnam. June 1970. Warrant Officer Class 2 (WO2) Vic Harris of Pittsworth, Qld, is the administration warrant officer for the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam (AATTV) in a Night Operations Advisory Team (NOAT) at its base in the Delta region. He speaks with Sergeant Xuan, an interpreter for the NOAT, at the nearby airport. The NOAT is a pilot scheme designed to retrain the local Regional Force soldiers for night ambush against Viet Cong.
