Shared Experience: Frederick B. Taylor (1906–1987)
Art and War
Taylor was heavily involved in early lobbying efforts to establish an official war art program, but never employed in it himself, Taylor’s personal goal was to ensure a painted record of Canada’s war industry workers. He was reluctant to relinquish his ties to the Communist Party and moved permanently to Mexico in 1960.
