Striking by Night
Heinkel He 219 Uhu
The twin-engine Uhu (owl) was a purpose-built night-fighter. Its advanced design made it fast and manoeuvrable, and it was very heavily armed. Only about 250 were produced. Had more been available, they might have had a heavy impact on British bombing tactics.
