National Ceremony

Veterans marching at the National Ceremony on Anzac Day 2015

10.30 am to approximately 12.30 pm

The National Ceremony begins with the traditional order of service including the Commemorative Address, wreath laying, hymns, the sounding of the Last Post, observance of one minute’s silence, and the national anthems of Australia and New Zealand. This year visitors will hear from The Hon Kim Beazley AC, and former Rat of Tobruk, Bob Semple, an Australian Second World War veteran.

In 2017, the National Ceremony was broadcast live on the Memorial's Facebook page and YouTube Channel, and recordings of the live broadcast can be viewed on these platforms.
