Poppy's Café is located on the Australian War Memorial grounds. We are open daily from 8.30am to 4.30pm (kitchen closes at 3.00pm) and, in addition to our Breakfast and Lunch Selections, we also have a Children's Menu and a range of sandwiches, salads, and mouth watering sweets and cakes for morning and afternoon tea. We have a wide variety of beverages, from fresh coffee to milkshakes, and we are also fully licenced. Gluten free is available for all meals upon request.
The beauty of Poppy’s is its warmth and design simplicity. The café’s design gives full, deserving attention to the Memorial’s serene grounds – just the spot for some quiet reflection. Inside the café, floor to ceiling windows provide a dramatic vista to relax with an espresso and light snack or a glass of wine. Outside on the terrace, is the perfect location to meet for breakfast or reflect on your days activity. Located conveniently below the cafe is undercover parking.
Late Night Openings
The Memorial has Late Night Openings on Friday and Saturday nights during Centenary of Armistice 2018 commemorations from 5 October 2018 to 11 November 2018.
For refreshments during your evening visit, Poppy's Café will be open until 9pm. An assortment of hot food and drinks are available, view the Poppy's Late Night Menu.
