Memorial Council welcomes new Director

Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, Warren Snowdon MP, has announced that the Hon Dr Brendan Nelson has been appointed as the new Director of the Australian War Memorial.

“On behalf of the Council of the Australian War Memorial, I would like to congratulate and welcome Dr Nelson as the Memorial’s new Director” said Rear Admiral Ken Doolan AO RAN (Ret’d), Chairman of the Council of the Australian War Memorial.

“I look forward to working with Dr Nelson when he starts in December, particularly as we work towards the centenary of the First World War.”
