Planning for ANZAC Day Wednesday 25 April

This year ANZAC Day commemorates the 97th anniversary of the Australian landings on Gallipoli. ANZAC Day is the day we remember all Australians who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. 2012 is also significant in that it marks the 70th anniversary of the battles of 1942, including the Bombing of Darwin andthe campaign in Kokoda, Papua New Guinea.
The Australian War Memorial has a range of story ideas, experts to interview, images, film and sound available to media covering ANZAC Day 2012. Our experts can speak on a range of topics from military history to ANZAC Biscuits.
We ask that all requests be received by the Memorial before Wednesday 18 April.
A selection of high resolution images, as well as links to online resources including war diaries, official histories, and biographical databases are available through the media portal on the Memorial’s website. Email email@example.com forlogin details.

Dawn Service 5.30 am – 6 am (Public arrive from 4.30 am onwards)
National Ceremony 10.15 am – 12 noon
