Description

A detachment of the 5th Brigade passing through the infantry on the first objective and advancing with its allotted Mark V* Male tank towards the third objective near La Motte en Santerre (six miles from the starting point). The tank is named 'OMAR' No 9831, 042, and served with A Company, 5th Battalion, commanded by 2nd Lt L Highfield. The Mark V* tanks were each to carry twenty four infantrymen and unload them on reaching the objectives.
